Welcome!
I am a first-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Maryland, College Park, studying psychological aspects of health and wellness under the mentorship of Dr. Mary Ann Hoffman. I received an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University in 2012.
Prior to beginning my study at UMD, I worked as a journalist at a newspaper and then as a communications and grant writer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
My current research interests include coping with transitions, particularly health-related life events; the well-being of long term caregivers; and health communication and information-seeking. For more information about my research interests, experience, and current projects, please see the research section above.
